Blade Servers

Blade servers have additional functionalities that allow you to assign multiple individual servers to a single Blade server within a bay. All other server-related functions are also available for servers of the Blade type.

Device Bays

‘Device Bays’ is a section available only for devices of the Blade type. Bays represent the capability of a device to store the child devices. For instance, it is possible to assign 4 devices to a single Blade server of the height of 2U. It should be noted that only a device of the height of 0U (Zero Unit Device) can be assigned to a bay. Child devices are not displayed in the rack but they are included on the ‘Non-Racked Devices’ list in the rack’s view. Bays can be freely sorted by dragging the list rows to a desired order.

If a device is assigned to the bay, its position in the parent rack is displayed in the ‘Position’ field in the device’s summary.
